With MemoryMiner you can tag fotos, tell who is in the picture, when and where (uses google earth for that) it was taken and thereby link your images. You can also link the images with audio and video files and there is a section for adding text as well.
MemoryMiner exports your files in XML and Flash.
In the demo video, especially the timeline function and the map looked very interesting.
Will have to try that out.
